Tartuffe

Tartuffe

Tartuffe

by Molière, translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur

8 p.m. April 24, 25 May 1, 2

2 p.m. May 3

Watters Theater – FA

Directed by Tom Kremer

A delightful, rollicking, and saucy examination of a pious hypocrite and the havoc he wreaks on the family of a wealthy man who desperately want to believe in him. In this crowning jewel of French comedy, the husband is duped, the wife is pursued, the son disinherited and the daughter married off as they all try to prove that Tartuffe is a fraud. It looks so though evil will triumph over good no matter what they do!

‘Tartuffe’ is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc, New York.
